FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? Good. Here are the ones I get asked the most, at pop-ups, in my DMs, and once in a grocery line.

Shipping

Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere in Canada. We also ship to the US and internationally via Canada Post.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on orders over $150, and a flat $10 on orders over $80. Orders under $80 are $14.50 outside Hamilton, Ontario, and $7.00 within Hamilton, Ontario. Yes, I’m basically paying you to treat yourself.

How long will my order take?
Orders are packed and shipped within 3-5 business days, and most arrive in 5-10 business days depending on where you are in Canada. I know. Waiting for skincare in the mail is a special kind of suspense.

Returns

What’s your return policy?
You can return products within 7 days of delivery. Just email us at info.idoziskin@gmail.com with your order number, and we’ll sort it out. No drama, I promise.

Something arrived damaged. What do I do?
Email us at info.idoziskin@gmail.com within 7 days with a photo of the damage and your order number, and we’ll replace it.

The products

Are your products natural?
Yes. Idozi products are made with plant butters and oils like shea butter, jojoba, oat oil, and squalane, with every ingredient listed in full on each product page. If you can’t pronounce something, it’s probably just the INCI name of a plant, not a chemical you should be scared of.

Do your products contain preservatives?
Our butters and oils contain no water, so they don’t need preservatives. Bacteria need water to grow, so no water means nothing for them to grow in. Vitamin E helps keep the oils fresh.

Which product is right for me?

  • Dry, ashy, or cracked skin: Hand & Body Butter
  • Dry, thirsty, or textured hair: Hair Conditioning Butter
  • Dull skin or uneven tone, or you just want that glow: Glow Secrets Face & Body Oil
  • Babies, toddlers, and kids: Baby Butter

Still not sure? DM us on Instagram. I will happily overthink it with you.

Who can use the Baby Butter?
Baby Butter is made for babies, toddlers, and kids under 12. It’s gentle enough for delicate skin, and it’s built around shea butter, sunflower oil, and oat oil. If your little one has eczema or a known skin condition, check with your pediatrician first.

Can my kids use your other products?
Our other products are suitable for ages 6 and up. For anyone younger, Baby Butter is the one.

Can I use these if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
Most people with sensitive skin do well with our products, but always do a patch test first: a little on your inner arm, then wait 24 hours. Our products contain shea butter and nut-derived oils like argan and sweet almond oil, so if you have a nut allergy, check the full ingredient list or talk to your doctor before using them.

My butter melted. Is it ruined?
Not at all. Natural butters soften in heat, so if yours melted in a hot car or a warm room, pop it in the fridge for about 30 minutes, and it’ll firm back up. Store it somewhere cool. Your jar is a lady; she doesn’t do summer in a parked car.

How long does a jar last?
Unopened, our products stay fresh for 12 months. Once opened, use within 6 months for the best results. Honestly, most people finish theirs long before that.

About Idozi

Who makes Idozi Skin?
Idozi Skin was founded by Onyeka Eze, a biochemist and esthetician who formulates every product herself in Hamilton, Ontario. I started because I’ve had dry hands my whole life and nothing I bought actually fixed it. So I made something that did.

Where can I buy Idozi in person?
You’ll find us at Something New, 416 Concession Street, Hamilton, ON, and at pop-up markets around Ontario. Follow us on Instagram @idoziskincare to see where we’ll be next.

How do I contact you?
Email us at info.idoziskin@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @idoziskincare. A real human answers, and that human is me.
